We visited Casa Grande yesterday. Bored with city life, I needed some distance again, and found this black bird flying above some adobe mounds at the ruin site. I always wanted to come to this place when I was a kid. My dad is a roper and would often take part in the O'odham Tash Indian Rodeo Days, and I would always look out over the horizon searching for these ruins but could not locate it with my limited interstate vision. Finally, I was able to glimpse this part of history, at lease until the air conditioning hummed us back into the visitor's center.
